How Pregnant am I?
Conception
Fertilization and conception occur.
One Month
At one month, your baby is an embryo, which consists of two layers of cells. All of your baby’s organs and body parts will develop from these two layers of cells.
Two Months
Now the size of a kidney bean, your baby is constantly on the move. At this time, your baby has clear somewhat webbed fingers.
Three Months
Your baby is now about 3 inches in length weighing nearly one ounce. At this time, your baby now has tiny, unique fingerprints.
Four Months
Now about 5 inches long, your baby weighs approximately 5 ounces. The skeleton of your baby is beginning to harden from rubbery cartilage to bone.
Five Months
Now in place are eyelids and eyebrows. If your baby stretched out her legs, she would be more than 10 inches in length.
Six Months
Weighing approximately one and a half pounds, your baby’s wrinkled skin is beginning to smooth out as she puts on more baby fat.
Seven Months
Now more than 15 inches long, your baby weighs approximately 3 pounds. Your baby can follow a light outside of the womb and open and close her eyes.
Eight Months
Your baby’s layers of fat are filling out and her lungs are well developed at this time. Your baby now weighs approximately 4 and 3/4 pounds.
Nine Months
At nine months, the average baby is more than 19 inches in length and weighs more than 7 pounds. At this stage, babies can vary widely in length and weight.
