Newborn Photography and Covid-19

In light of Covid-19, the following measures have been put in place to ensure my clients are safe while they are at the studio. We want to be extra vigilant for your family and new baby.

Many of the following measures were already taken for each newborn session as well as maternity sessions, milestone and family sessions.

The studio is vaccuumed and mopped with disinfectant prior to each session as always. All counter surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant.  Additional cleaning is being done including wiping down door knobs, lightswitches and taps before and after each session.

The studio props are now touchless and have been moved to a separate room without client access.  Clients will choose props from an on-line album. You can find the on-line album of props here:

Photography Props for Your Newborn Session

No props are on display in the studio. Each hat with matching wrap for example is sealed in an individual ziploc bag for sanitary purposes. It also helps me to find matching sets quickly. All of the sealed bags are placed in rubbermaid containers.

All paper products like samples and magazines have been removed from the studio

All toys have been removed from the studio.

No-one will be allowed to enter the studio with cold symptoms.  If I come down with any cold or illness symptoms, I’ll continue to advise clients and cancel and reschedule sessions as needed.

Mask mandates were lifted on March 21, 2022. For the time being, I will still be wearing a mask during sessions, at least until everyone is comfortable no longer wearing masks. I have removed my mask in all other settings. During newborn sessions, I feel more comfortable handling your newborn with a mask on. I wash my hands frequently and use hand sanitizer frequently.

Face masks and gloves will be available for client use.

Clients will still be asked to remove shoes at the door.

All outfits and props are washed after each session.

There are two handwashing stations including soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer, Hand sanitizer is also available at the entrance and also by my side during sessions.

Mint Duct Cleaning cleaned and disinfected all of the ducts and vents. They used benefect which is a natural organic way of cleaning and killing germs. It is a botanical disinfectants and cleaner.

On April 27, 2021 I received my first Covid vaccine. I received the first dose of AstraZeneca. I received a second dose of Pfizer on July 25, 2021.
