Here are a few more baby pictures of our beautiful model Baby “Q” from the Belly and Baby Posing Workshop with Chandra Lee Photography on September 22nd. Newborn safety is always paramount during each newborn session. The images of baby “Q” shown in the sling below are captured using 4 people to assist in capturing the image. Baby is held only a few inches above a large posing pillow. One person holds their hand on baby the entire time and the hand is later removed from the image using photoshop magic. I have a spotter available at all times carefully watching baby. Two people assist in holding the sling. Then I take the picture. White is a soft natural reflector so a white sheet or blanket is placed over the posing pillow so that there is no color cast on baby. A lot of photoshop is required to capture this picture but I prefer to spend one to two hours working in photoshop to keep baby safe at all times. I will only attempt sling images with newborn babies under 10 days of age and only if I feel it is safe. Not all babies are good candidates for hanging baby pictures. The most important aspect of every newborn session is keeping your baby safe.
