5 Month Baby Pictures | What a Fun Age to Photograph

I love photographing this age.  It still takes me a few hours to capture the images I’d like as it is a lot more work then a newborn session for me.  I haven’t had anyone’s help to get her to smile and her smiles often disappear as soon as the camera’s in front of my face.  I jump up and down, sing hokey pokey Elmo, sing and dance like no-one’s watching (literally).  If I did these things for my clients I for sure would not want these things videotaped.

Often I receive inquiries to photograph older babies and I think I’ve had enough practice with Albany now that I’d like to start photographing this age more. The age where babies begin to hold their heads up at around 4 months but they’re not yet sitting.  Albany doesn’t stay still so I’m working with constant motion now unlike the sleeping newborns.  I dance and I sweat and we still need to take breaks for feedings and mini naps and she has fallen asleep for pictures even at 5 months.

I am looking for child care now so I can work full-time again. I’m on a wait list but I’m not sure how long that will be.  If anyone knows a great child care facility either home care or daycare centre in the Bowmanville area I’d love to hear from you!

In the meantime, I have started working part-time mostly on weekends.
