This beautiful baby boy and his family came for newborn pictures recently. Lately, I’ve been having a lot of families visit the studio eager to incorporate all members of the family into their portrait session.
At first this little guy wanted to be awake. I think he had some tummy trouble and was easily wakened by noise. Dad took his big brother out for awhile and we completed the newborn poses.
Timing turned out to be great. Big brother had a nap and some lunch and then joined us for family portraits. We captured the cutest images of him and his baby brother together.
I’ve always loved colour images of newborn babies. I also love black and white images too. Lately, I’ve noticed that my images I choose to display on the blog page are more organic images of just baby. I still have all of the cute props, hats and accessories but I love showing a large variety of poses created during each newborn session. There’s always too many cute pictures to choose from.
There’s something very classic about an image of just your baby with no hats or accessories. That image will never go out of style.
Stay tuned for the next posting, there are many sessions to share in the following weeks as we gear up for the busy holiday season.
There are many advantages to hiring a professional baby photographer. Babies changes so quickly in the first few days of life. Within two weeks, baby will start losing their newborn curliness. Their cute baby wrinkles quickly fill in with breast milk or formula.
Many new parents overlook the importance of newborn portraits. Although you can take your own snapshots at home or at the hospital, there is something so special about professional newborn photography.
Shortly after birth, a professional photographer trained in newborn posing is able to capture all the special details of your new baby. These special features will begin to disappear quickly within a few short weeks. A baby photographer can record these moments in time by creating forever memories of everything new about your little one.
Skillful training in the art of newborn photography is required to take professional baby photography portraits. Not only does a photographer need excellent camera skills, they also need creativity and safe posing techniques. A newborn baby photographer should know how to safely pose and work with your baby. He or she should also have a lot of experience working with newborns to know how to soothe your baby.
The most successful newborn photographer comes from a photographer who has a loving and nurturing nature and treats the newborn as his or her own during the photography session. Patience is needed as the sessions are long and do not always go as planned. Sometimes babies have plans of their very own during their photo session and a good photographer will know how to handle any situation and put mom and dad at ease.
Look for recommendations from friends and family and ask who they used to photograph their baby. Everyone will have different experiences and suggestions.
