This week I had 7 newborn sessions. I don’t normally photograph so many newborns in one week; however, all of the babies were either a few weeks early or overdue. Babies’ arrival times are unpredictable; therefore, I only pre-book 3 due dates for any given week.

Another very special fact about this week’s newborn sessions is that 6 out of 7 sessions were repeat clients. 6 families that came to see me for newborn portraits this week had been to see me about two years ago for the birth of their first child. It is so nice that my clients are coming back again to see me.

Lately, I have been having so much fun with my newborn sessions. Well, I always have fun with my baby sessions; however, lately I have been enjoying using all of the new props and accessories that have recently arrived. I have also mastered a few new poses.

After 5 years of photographing newborn babies on a full-time basis and having photographed over 500 newborns, it becomes more challenging to add new poses to my sessions. I like to mix things up and keep things fresh so that each client has something special to take away from their newborn session.

I have been receiving so many e-mails and comments lately that clients are loving the new poses and props. Thank you so much for your reaching out to me and taking notice.

Never in a million years could I imagine doing anything other than photographing families. I love my job. Every session I am completely lost in my photography. Every pose is carefully worked on so that every little baby finger and toe is perfect. My sessions are long because it takes a long time to produce hight quality work even with a very sleepy newborn baby.
